plot happenings

important plot points:

• Colette is arriving at the Institute in London to meet her fiance, Quinn. Both are willing to make the best of the arranged engagement.
  
• Colette's father wants the engagement to restore the family name, especially since another offer might not come along. Quinn's mother, Geneva, wants it to be able to keep the Institute in the family, gain money, and dispel rumors circling her son.
  
• The Clave is threatening to take the Institute because Geneva has run the finances in the ground, but if Quinn marries and takes over soon, they will allow the Institute to remain in the family's control.
  
• Verity, Quinn's twin sister and he are extremely close and also parabatai. They have been allied together against their mother since the death of their father.
  
• The twins often blame their mother for their father's death, and Geneva has further distanced herself from her children because their father's death reminds her of his failure.
  
• Hale is also arriving at the Institute with his valet, Edward. Edward is infatuated with his master, and will become jealous when Hale begins pursuing Quinn.
  
• Edward will plot against the new couple, manipulating Colette to help him.
  
• At some point, Verity will discover Edward's schemes.
  
• Other servants at the Institute include Jaime and Fiona, Irish siblings. Fiona has raised her younger brother after the death of their parents and often covers up small mistakes he makes.
  

update:

• Hale and Quinton are bonding
  
• Geneva is meeting with the vampires
  
• Verity and Colette will go to a rally, where they will meet Nicholas, who already knows Verity from past rallies
  
• Arabella and her fiance are going to be married the next day, and the vampires are sending demons to the reception to act as a distraction from their workings with other dimensions
  
• Hale will be at the wedding and reception as a member of society, during the attack he will send Edward to go get the other Shadowhunters for help, but Edward only brings Quinton in an attempt to set him up
  
• Nicholas' brother and Arabella's sister-in-law will be killed by demons, thus involving them in the plot as Arabella has the Sight, and Nicholas knows Verity and now Colette
  
• Quinton will be taken by the vampires and turned into a subjugate using old vampire blood
  

Also, end goal for Arabella/Nicholas since we have this decided already:
Arabella will return to her fiance and her old life with memory and the Sight removed, Nicholas will stay with Colette and choose to Ascend

Update on the update!

• Jamie reveals pertinent information to the coven. Information ultimately leads the coven to choose Quinn as their test subject for the blood
  
• Arabella and Colette become uneasy friends after Arabella is introduced to the Shadowhunter lifestyle
  
• Fiona goes in as an undercover human subjugate because she's trying to make up for Jamie's mistake
  
• Fiona gets in as the subjugate of an acquaintance of Hale who he pays off to keep silent about her
  
• Fiona drinks vampire blood on accident and is killed trying to get Quinn outside to a waiting Hale
  
• Hale takes Quinn back to the Institute where he tries to break the subjugation
  
• Fiona's corpse is delivered to the Institute, where she is then buried and rises as a vampire
  
• Super Holy object has to be found in order to rid Quinn's body of the vampire blood
